SPORTS MASSAGE - INJURY ASSESSMENT & TREATMENT - REHABILITATION
Sports Massage (30 or 60 mins)
Sports Massage is a form of deep tissue massage that targets the muscles fibres deeper than the ordinary beauty massage. Sports Massage is used to relieve stress and tension built up in the muscles as a result of physical activity or every day repetitive movements such as work or sitting. It also provides a range of physical and physiological benefits; such as improving flexibility and range of joint movement, reducing muscle fatigue and soreness and also preparing the body and mind for optimal functioning and performance.
Initial Injury Assessment + First Treatment (60 mins)
If you have an injury and would like to understand how to treat it, an initial injury assessment allows for the surrounding musculature and joint to be examined using a range of specific tests to identify the root of the problem. From this assessment, you will then be told what your problem is and what Return2You has to offer in order to return you back to fitness. Within the hour, your treatment will be provided to the injured area and you will be given some specific exercises and stretches to carry out at home to supplement your treatment. If another appointment is necessary, you will be advised to seek further follow-up treatment when appropriate.
Follow-up Injury Treatment / Rehabilitation (30 or 60 mins)
A variety of Sports Therapy treatments may be incorporated within these sessions; from Sports Massage to spinal or peripheral mobilisations and manipulations. Some treatment sessions may primarily be rehabilitation based to ensure that you are carrying out the exercises correctly and progessional exercises will be implemented to aid your recovery process.

Pregnancy Massage (60 mins)
Pregnancy Massage can provide great benefits for both the mother and the unborn baby. Massage during pregnancy provides emotional and physiological benefits including: Stimulating the circulatory system, helping with lymphatic drainage, releasing muscular tension, encourages the release of endorphins and oxytocin, reduces the likelihood of varicose veins and helps to reduce stress to create a relaxed state. Pregnancy Massage is recommended only after 12 weeks and it is advised to speak with your GP or midwife to gain their consent before booking an appointment.
Gait Analysis (30 mins)
Foot, knee, hip and back pain is commonly a result of poor biomechanics, often stemming from the feet. Our Footscan system has over 4,000 high speed sensors which accurately capture and analyse your movement, providing detailed plantar pressure information which simply cannot be seen with a treadmill or the human eye. This helps us to identify and treat the causes of injury, whilst offering the best advice to reduce the risk of future injuries. Please see the Footscan page to learn more!
